Using AOL Broadband with routers

…?

- Unable to connect to AOL

Solution

There are two types of AOL connections available – either AOL DSL or AOL cable. A third service is called AOL BYOA (Bring Your Own Access). This is used along with along with an existing broadband connection, supplied by your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

  1. If you have AOL DSL, please refer to “Directions for AOL DSL Users” on page 91 of this manual.
  2. If you have either AOL Cable or the AOL BYOA service, please go to the “Directions for AOL Cable Users” section of this manual, on page 98.

-         Card does not perform or connection is unstable when computer as a second built-in wireless network card (such as Intel Centrino)

Solution

This condition occurs if your computer has a built-in wireless card while your Belkin Wireless Card is also active. This happens while your Belkin Wireless Card is also active. This happens because Windows must now handle two active wireless connections.  You need to disable the built-in wireless card from your computer under “Network Adapters” in Device Manager. (need screen shot?)
